My MAGICal Experience

  • Highlights
    • Had a wonderful time bonding with my mentor, Ranjitha
    • Building the hardware for Raspberry Pi and connecting wires
    • Adding new features to the home screen (buttons, text, etc.)
  • Lessons learnt
    • Learned about ssh connection and different uses for Raspberry Pi
    • How to code with java and javascript
    • Learned how to create a website with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Challenges
    • At the beginning, it was very difficult to establish the SSH connection from Raspberry Pi to the display
    • It was difficult to create a new module and display code on the home screen

    • Deep interest in neurology
    • Functions of the brain, parts of the brain, lobes of the brain, html, css, claude.ai
    • We figured out the basics of the website, how to code for each function and dive into learning more about each function
    • We will be coding the animations for the interactive simulation

  • Had difficulties making website with the way I wanted

    • AI language model
    • Helps with editing, writing, summarizing, conversing, and coding
    • Used Claude.ai to tweak my coding and personalize my website
    • Had problems with it a couple time, my command wasn’t too great or the coding wasn’t what I expected
    • Helped debrief the code and gave preview of page
