  2. Navigate the Wikisource interface

Steps to editing on Wikisource

In order to perform major edits on Wikisource :

MUST

  • Have a user account on any of the Wikimedia projects
  • Be logged in to Wikisource
  • Choose a language from the list of available subdomains

NEED

  • Set your editing preferences to activate certain functionality
  • Find a suitable text that you would like to edit
  • Check the status to see if the text needs

Transcription (typing out the text)

Proofreading (correcting errors)

Validation (verifying accuracy)
