Hi, I’m Paddy Healy-Reeves from 6A and this morning myself and Mr Jones helped to install a food waste decomposer at Glenealy. I will be taking care of this project this year alongside Mr Jones, Mrs Matthews and wanted to share some more information about our latest sustainable friend at school… I hope to get more students involved with this project from all year groups :)

Go through this with your class. Could the students produce a poster about which food is compostable and which food is not? The Green Team would love to share students work around the school

Reduce Food Waste System
4 different students will visit the centre at 1:30pm everyday
Each student will empty 1 of the 4 bins found in all 4 corners of the Centre
They will empty the bin (bag) into the food waste
They will return the bins to the Centre. A new bin bag will be put inside at the end of the day
