1- The PISTIL is the female part of the flower.

It is shaped like a bottle.

It contains the OVARY.

1- Pollen is produced in the stamens.

2-The pollen reaches the pistil of another flower and travels

to the ovary.

3-The ovary develops into a fruit. The fruit contains seeds.

4-When a seed falls to the ground, a new plant begins to grow.

FRUITS

-Each fruit contains one or more seeds.

-There are two types of fruits: fleshy fruits and dry fruits.

FLESHY FRUIT: juicy and soft. They contain a lot of water.

DRY FRUIT: They contain little water.

SEEDS

-They contain a very small plant called an EMBRYO.

-They also contain food to keep the embryo alive.

-When the seed fall to the ground and finds enough moisture, a new plant begins to grow. This is called GERMINATION.

-The seed takes in food. A young plant, called a SEEDLING, starts to

develop.
