Hello!

Hsiao-Yun Shotwell is the program manager, and the leader of the Aspiring BIPOC Educators Initiative. The PM communicates with staff, partners, members to reach program goals, while evaluating, and improving, the program structure and design throughout the program year.

Aspiring BIPoC Educators Program is a racial and educational equity-focused pathway that provides Oregon BIPoC teachers and administrators professional, personal and financial support throughout their Teacher Education Programs.

Enrolled in Oregon Teacher Education Program or Administrators License Program

Oregon residents

U.S. Citizens

Students teaching in Oregon

Program Model

      • As a member, get a living stipend while enroll in a course (from their program) that related to equity or REJ and promote and advocate for REJ and equity in their daily teaching activities

(We will work with the students, their advisors and programs to identify courses as well as their CTs)
