DRONE IN PLANET USING MAGNETIC FIELD

3 of 15

ABSTACT:

  • The capabilities and uses of drone technology are numerous. A drone is a tool in your toolbox, and like all tools, it has a function and some restrictions, but drones are proving to be quite useful in a lot of scenarios.
  • Modern lightweight cameras and other sensors transform drones into incredibly creative and adaptable flying objects. Drone technology is being used by NASA for a number of purposes, including aerial imagery, inspections, and mapping.

INTRODUCTION:

  • Drones is used for tracking and monitoring purpose. To bring this technology in outer space many engineering's are struggling. Although there are many possible ways they have some drawbacks also.
  • In upcoming slides we can see the solutions for these drawbacks.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

  • As NASA uses drone technology for varies reasons because Drones have special qualities that allow users to examine potentially dangerous situations up close.
  • we have many disadvantages in using drones. As we need fuel and energy.
  • Fuel charges expensive  and battery energy is consumed more.
  • As there is zero gravity in space so the drone cannot fly and can't be attracted.

SOLUTION:

  • To overcome this problem we use solar energy instead of battery and fuels. The idea that a drone may fly for extended durations (not just days, but literally years) without needing to be charged or re fuelled is the major advantage of using solar energy, especially when it is combined with a rechargeable battery.
  • Drones fueled by solar energy can fly at higher altitudes than usual because of their sturdy yet lightweight construction. Last but not least, solar-powered cells are a clean energy source that emits no hazardous gases.

SOLAR ENERGY IN DRONES:

  • A drone fueled by solar energy can soar as long as the sun is out. When the sun sets, the drone's power supply is likewise rendered inoperable. In a solar hybrid system, the drone is powered by the sun during the day and has its solar energy stored in onboard batteries for usage at night.

  • There must be enough surface area set up for holding the solar cells in order to produce enough power. This might result in restrictions on design. The majority of solar-powered drones and solar hybrids are likewise quite reliant on the weather. If the onboard batteries aren't big enough to wait for the sun to shine, cloudy skies could pose issues. However, larger batteries might potentially be a restriction because they would make the drone heavier

USAGE OF MAGNETIC FIELDS:

  • There is zero gravity in space so the drone cannot fly. To overcome this we use magnetic field attraction .
  • As there is magnetic field in universe so drone with magnetic fields can be  attract with each other.
  • And commercial drones cannot be send to space due to less density of air.
  •  Due to this is the main reason for not using commercial drones in space.
  • There are numerous ways that magnets can be used to advance our attempts to explore space, even though they have been useful in space up until now. Use of magnets as fuel is one possibility.

HOW MAGNETIC FIELD IS PRODUCED:

  •  Electric charges in motion create magnetic fields. Everything is constructed of atoms, and each atom contains a nucleus that is composed of protons and neutrons, with orbiting electrons.

  • Each atom creates a tiny magnetic field because the orbiting electrons are tiny moving charges. The magnetic moment of an atom refers to the orientation or direction of these magnetic fields. In essence, every atom in an object behaves like a number of small magnets. The majority of materials have a net magnetization of 0, which means the object won't be a magnet because all of these moments face random directions and cancel one another out.
  • However, the entire item has a net magnetization and generates a magnetic field around itself when all or most of these moments line up in the same direction.

DRONE MAGNETIC FIELS:

  • A magnetic field is created by an electric current. When an electric charge is moving, this is conceivable. The magnetic field does not form while the electric charge is at rest. The magnetic field is created as the atom spins and orbits the nucleus. The spin and orbital directions of the electric charge also influence the magnetic field's direction.

  •  The current-carrying wire will experience a force that is perpendicular to both the current direction and the magnetic field lines if it is put in a magnetic field with force lines that are at right angles to the wire. If the magnetic field or current strength increases, the force will also increase.

CONCLUSION:

  • Therefore we can conclude that drone can be used in outer planet and useful for gathering information from universe.
  • We can use the drone technology in future and explore the outer space also.
