1. What is NTE

NTE's vision is to see University students across Australia and the world gather together to be transformed by the gospel, trained in the gospel, and sent with the gospel.

  • A national conference, run by our national organisation.
  • A focus on training and being sent with the gospel.
  • A chance to be involved in mission.
  • 2500 Students, a big event, big energy and a big opportunity.

The conference…

  • In Canberra, at EPIC (Exhibition Park In Canberra)
  • Saturday Morning -> Wednesday Lunchtime
  • Camping on site, or being in accommodation nearby, coming into EPIC each day for:
    • Main Sessions
    • Strand Groups
    • Electives
    • Food and free time

NTE mission…

  • Putting into practice what you learn on NTE, by going out on mission with a group of other Esers.
  • Staying with members of a church from Wednesday to Monday.
  • Time to hang out as a team, get to know each other really well, and have a bit of tourist time.
  • Participate in:
    • Running Sunday Church Services.
    • Other local mission the church is involved in, e.g. visiting schools, nursing homes, Christmas outreach.

2. Reasons to come

  1. High quality training can turbo-charge the impact you can make for the gospel for years to come.
  2. The chance to have a go at things in a safe and fun environment.
  3. Almost two weeks of quality time with other ESers.
  4. A fun way to round out your year, with the planning done for you!
  5. The opportunity to gather with 2500 other Christians and be encouraged is very rare.

3. Logistics of NTE

Travelling

  • Road trip! (Best for Echuca Mission Team)
    • Drive to Canberra over two days with a group of others across multiple cars. Leave Adelaide early on Thursday, staying overnight at Echuca, driving to Canberra on Friday.
    • At the end of NTE, drive back to Echuca on Wednesday for mission then drive back to Adelaide on Monday December 14.
  • Flying (Best for Chatswood Mission Team)
    • Adelaide –> Canberra. Arrive Friday December 4. (Share uber / taxi with someone from the airport)
    • Sydney -> Adelaide. Fly out on Monday December 14 after midday.
    • We’ll carpool or take a bus from Canberra to Sydney on Wednesday between conference and mission.

  • Energy levels – will I be able to go in with enough energy?
  • Do I need to make any different travel arrangements? (E.g. not coming back to Adelaide)
  • Can I make it to the whole thing? And make sure I’ve got the time blocked out.
