Overall Goal: Prioritize in-person instruction for as many students as possible in a safe and healthy learning environment.
Masking: To start the school year, masking is not required for students and staff. The use of face coverings is a recommended mitigation effort per CDC, Wisconsin DHS and DPI, and Vernon County Public Health Department. Masking may be required for periods of time throughout the school year depending on rates of local and in-district transmission.
Transportation: Per Federal order, all drivers/riders need to wear a mask in District buses and other vehicles. The District will adjust this policy when the order expires.
Physical Distancing: LFSD will maintain a minimum of 3 feet of distance between students/staff when possible. Elementary students will eat lunch in the cafeteria and have recess with different grade levels.
Co-Curriculars: At this time, all athletic and other activities will go on as scheduled with no limitations in place. There are no spectator limits or mask requirements for home games. Live streaming will be available as often as possible. LFSD Athletes and Spectators will abide by individual District rules for away events.
