• Motion to approve the minutes from our January 2025 Congregational Meeting

VOTE ON NOMINATING �COMMITTEE 2025/2026

• Per our constitution:
• C13.02. A Nominating Committee of three to six voting members of this congregation, two of whom, if possible, shall be outgoing members of the Congregation Council, shall be elected at the annual meeting for a term of one year. Members of the Nominating Committee are not eligible for consecutive reelection.

STRUCTURE OF THE CHURCH COUNCIL

• Our Council is comprised of 12 lay members and Pastor Nick
• Secretary (one-year term)
• Treasurer (one-year term)
• 10 Council members (staggered two-year terms) of which at least one is a youth/young adult
• Note: President and Vice President selected by Council from among its members
• Five current Council members have one more year in their terms:

• Emily Meinen
• Dan Reckmeyer
• Diaena Zamora
• Today, we will vote to re-elect a Treasurer, and elect a secretary and five council members.

Updating AGLC Constitution and Bylaws

• Constitution last updated in June 2017
• Updates for compliance with ELCA 2022 model constitution
• Highlighted changes to Constitution and Bylaws
• C10.01: Remove “semi-annual” wording for congregational meetings
• C10.08 and C10.09: new section for remote meetings and “ex officio”
• C12.02.01: Youth Council member elected to a one-year term
• C12.05 and C6.03.01: “benevolence” changed to “mission support”
• C4.02.01 and C5.04.01: outdated bylaws removed
• Bylaws moved under corresponding Constitution section
• Motion to approve

Property Expansion Committee – �Initial Review

• Expansion interest out of vision meetings
• Committee formed, meeting held and reviewed expansion alternatives
• Agreed on meeting room, non cooking kitchen, bathroom renovation, & access to classroom from meeting room
• Reviewed original plans for long term growth and liked meeting room kitchen drawings
• Original drawings were for 3500 sq feet tied into back os sanctuary, kitchen removed
• Contact original architect for updated costs

Property Expansion Committee - Recommendations

• Provide congregation with ideas and cost projection
• Discuss and determine interest of congregation for expansion
• Making sure we know that we do not want to go into debt for expansion
• Projected updated cost $1.75M from architect
• Includes, demo, moving of AC units, meeting room, non cooking kitchen, limited renovations to rest rooms, potential walkway into classroom from meeting room
• All prices estimated until final drawings and bidding to contractor
