تركت كل شيء وتبعتنى .. لكنك لم تترك بطرس

You left everything and followed me...but you did not leave Peter

أخذتك في كل مكان .. عام وخاص

I took you everywhere...public and private

كنت معك .. ولم تكن أنت دائماً معى

I was with you.. and you were not always with me

رأيتنى في مجدى .. في التجلى

You saw me in My Glory...in the Transfiguration

رأيتنى في بيت يايرس .. منتصراً على الموت

You saw me in Jairus' house... victorious over death

لكنك كنت ومازلت .. تخاف من الموت

But you were and still are afraid of death

كنت معك .. ولم تكن أنت دائماً معى

I was with you.. and you were not always with me

حذرتك .. وأنذرتك

I warned you

قلت لك .. اذهب عنى يا شيطان ..

رغم أنى قلت لك .. أعطيك مفاتيح ملكوت السموات

I told you.. Get away from me, devil..Even though I told you.. I give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven

قلت لك .. ستنكرنى 3 مرات .. ولم تسمعنى

I told you.. you will deny me 3 times.. and you did not listen to me

حذرتك .. وأنذرتك

I warned you

قلت لك .. لست تفهم الآن .. لكنك ستفهم فيما بعد

I told you... you don't understand now... but you will understand later

أشفقت عليك من نفسك

I felt sorry for you

نظرت إليك .. وأنت تقع

I looked at you..while You were Falling

رأيت دموعك المرّة .. ونفسك الحزينة

I saw your bitter tears...and your sad soul

كنت معك .. وأنت تريد الإنسحاب

I was with you when you wanted to withdraw

رتبت أن ألقاك أول تلميذ أقابله .. بعد قيامتى

خرجت يائساً مهزوماً .. وسحبت التلاميذ وراءك

You left, desperate and defeated, and dragged the disciples after you

I brought you what you like... grilled fish

ماكسفتكش .. وقلت لك هات من السمك اللى أمسكته

I didn't let you down.. and I told you to bring some of the fish you caught

سألتك السؤال اللى يريحك .. أتحبنى ؟!

I asked you the question that makes you comfortable.. Do you love me?!

أعلنتك راعياً ورسولاً بلا تردد .. 3 مرات

I declared you a shepherd and an apostle without hesitation... 3 times

وإحتملتك حتى شخت وتمشي حيث لا تشاء

You used to girdle yourself and walk wherever you wanted

I tolerated you until you grew old and walked wherever you did not want

احتملتك .. وأنت تقود نفسك

ظللت بطرس .. حبيبى المميز .. رغم كل شئ

You remained Peter, my special beloved son, despite everything

The day of Pentecost... You headed the scene

وفى سجل الكنيسة الأولى .. كنت قائداً

In the record of the early church... you were a Leader

وبداية خدمة الأمم .. كنت رائداً

And the beginning of serving nations... You were a pioneer

صار ظلك وحده .. يشفي الأمراض

Your shadow alone has become a cure for diseases

أعطيتك نعمة فوق نعمة

I gave you Grace for Grace

كنت تخاف من الناس ومن الأمم

You were afraid of people and gentiles

غلبت خوفك عبر السنين

You have overcome your fear over the years

كنت تخاف من رأي مَن حولك

You were afraid of the opinion of those around you

غلبت خوفك عبر السنين

You have overcome your fear over the years

كنت تخاف من الموت .. فصرت تنام في السجن

You were afraid of death...but then you slept in prison

أخيراً .. أعددت لك ما لم تره عين

Finally.. I have prepared for you what no eye has seen
