Solutions

Apex locators using radiography which is harmful to the patients presently in use does not provide accurate values in wet root canals.

Development of a device based on light to accurately map the morphology of root canal and providing real time images of the root canal.

Drugs are usually given systemically to eliminate the inflammation caused due to debri pushed into periapical region during root canal treatment.

Development of a medication or drug that induces periapical healing and bone formation that can be applied locally to the area of treatment thereby eliminating systemic toxicity

At present, microorganisms is detected using culture methods which is time consuming and sample has to be sent to a microbiology laboratory

Development of a machine to detect microorganisms in root canal using light based system during the procedure time itself

Present centrifuge machines are expensive and  not portable in nature. The components are not also easily sterilized as they are not detachable
