Course Options:

There are 2 main courses, Applications and Interpretation (AI) or Analysis and Approaches (AA).

All of the mathematics courses will cover 5 topics at varying levels and may approach similar topics in different ways.

IB Requirements for math

Internal Assessment:

20% of IB Grade, potion of the student’s 3rd of 4th quarter grade.

A 12-20 page paper exploring a topic of the student’s choice.

External Assessments:

A series of tests taken during May at the end of the course covering a wide range of topics learned in the course.

Percentages show percent of IB Grade for each assessment

$119 fee sent out in October/November

Missing Class:

  • Call/email attendance if student will be out all day, late or needs to leave early
  • 1 day make up for each day missed
  • If only test day missed, test taken on day returned

Late Policy:

  • 1 late pass a quarter (24 hours)
  • - 20% first 48 hours
  • - 40% after 48 hours, before unit test
  • - 50% after unit test
