Step 3: Collect Data at a new Tilt

Here’s the fun part! Imagine that the tilt of the Earth was different. Choose a new tilt (must be more than 10 degrees more or less than our current tilt).

Use Explore Learning to collect hours of daylight data at your the new tilt. Remember to keep latitude the same!!

Step 4: Description of Change

Now use the data you collected to predict how you think the climate at your location would change at the new tilt.

Focus on how hours of daylight would change temperatures and where the sun would appear at different times of the year.

Try to note some of the specific things you mentioned before (precipitation, temperature, etc) and how they might be different.

Have fun with it!
