1. Ms. Selena Garcia requested to view the contract the district has for outsourced vendor custodial services in accordance to the Freedom of Information Act.
2. Mr. John Laadt requested initial charter school applications to create a new or conversion charter school from January 2013 to February 2017 including approved and rejected charter school applications for every charter school application. Mr. John Laadt also requested Charter school authorizer name, Charter school authorizer's decision on the application and date of the decision. Mr. John Laadt is not requesting Letters of intent, Charter school contracts, Renewal applications or renewal contracts, and any request for an appeal of a charter school application or contract decision.
3. Mr. Michael Marchese requested a copy of the current waste and recycling contract.

Steven Wozniak WozU
Steve Wozniak has announced up to $5M in support for K-Employment initiatives in K-12 schools. Steve Wozniak has demonstrated that if students are given the opportunity to develop an engineering mindset through hands on projects as early as possible they can land high paying, high tech jobs shortly after they complete high school.
Steven Hunter Foundation
Steven Hunter partnered with Steve Wozniak in support for K-Employment initiatives in K-12 schools. Steven Hunter is committed to igniting economic development in cities plagued by poverty and post-industrial decay. Steven is a graduate of Proviso East high school and a retired NBA player. He has teamed up with WozU to help provide students with an opportunity to develop an engineering mindset through hands on projects so they can land high paying, high tech jobs shortly after they complete high school. Current grants being provided in West Cook villages include Bellwood, Maywood and now Broadview; 40% Grant Funded

Math - MCMI Summer Institute
This institute from MCMI, titled Access for All: Energizing Mathematical Minds: Supporting K-12 Mathematics Educators, takes place July 31 and August 1, 2019, at Elmwood Park High School. This summer institute targets an audience of teachers of mathematics in grades K-12. Teachers will work in grade-band groups on core issues of mathematics teaching and learning. Teachers can also select breakout sessions based on their interests, contexts, and prior experience. The following deliverables will be created:

Mr. Gabriel Joseph - Nomination
Mr. Gabriel Joseph has been nominated for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). This is the highest recognition that a kindergarten through 12th grade science, technology, engineering, mathematics and/or computer science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the United States.
Presidential awardees receive a certificate signed by the President of the United States; a trip to Washington D.C., to attend a series of recognition events; and a $10,000 award from the National Foundation.
