1. Draw a variety of lines, zig-zags and curves on strips of paper
2. Tape, glue or staple to a paper plate and decorate like a sun’s face.

Students can roll dice to make their multiplication problems

• Cut holes in the bottom of egg cartons.
• Make a subtraction problem (6-2= )
• Place egg cartons upside down and place objects on top using the first number from the problem (6 buttons, 6 pennies, etc).
• Using the first number, students push down objects into holes.
• Count how many are remaining to get the answer.

• Cut the paper in half in a variety of ways, like a puzzle piece
• Mix the pieces up and let students match the numbers with the dots.

Day 2, Sept. 30

• Have student draw a picture or a word
• Cut picture into jigsaw pieces about 2”x2”
• Students put puzzle back together

Students will cut 4 strips of hair. There will be 6 left over, so the answer is

10-4=6
