  • The “BIG WHY?
    • Suicide deaths among 10 to 24-year-olds increased by 62% from 2007 to 2021

​

    • Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death in this age group. �(First is Unintentional Injuries, includes car accidents, many more including drug overdose that may be related to depression)

​

    • Access to mental health providers
      • Best psychologist and psychiatrists are mostly Private Pay �(don’t accept Insurance)
      • Best Facilities – Private Pay and Insurance. Public assistance not great –one reason is that too many patients with different problems mixed together
