- computers and laptops used to access the web and other online materials (using the computer in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship to find schematics)

- The doctor and clara The Bells of Saint John uses a laptop against the shard to hack the locations of the Shard - clara searches for employees in social media to determine the location.

- The doctors has glasses in The Pyramid at the End of the World which creates a HUD display which helps the doctor orient when he can't see.

Phones

- Using phones to access the internet and/or to call friends or family for important information.

- accessing building plans or mobile forms.

Scanners

- typically small hand held devices that can scan to determine if someone is alien or human

misc

- Data collection in several mediums - in Gridlock using paper to track cars

- and in Day of the Moon they use their own skin to track their sightings of the Silence

VCA

- virtual computer assistants (such as in Voyage of the Dammed and The Girl Who Waited) that provide information to the doctor and his companion(s)

Tardis

- The tardis provides he doctor and his companions a lot of information from searching for locations, pulling up maps, scanning people, providing translations, giant GPS, etc.
