STUDENT ALICE TRAINING

THE PLAN

2 of 9

LOGISTICS

  • The main purpose of this training is to expose our students to ALICE and the various options available to them in the unlikely event of a school intruder.
  • Each grade will be assigned to a homebase in a different area of the building. In addition, all students will be assigned to a classroom in the area of their homebase.
  • We will use approximately 7 classrooms, each with 20-25 students and 2 teachers, for each of the four grades. In addition there will be a policeman, a guidance counselor, and an ALICE trained staff person assigned to each of the whole grade groups.
  • Attendance and Front Office Staff will stay in their offices.
  • Our goal is to expose our students to ALICE in a straightforward way in a typical classroom. We will add other scenarios during future trainings.
