  • Russia couldn’t afford to feed their army and their people, so the people started a Revolution to overthrow their government.
  • The people installed a Communist government in the β€œOctober Revolution”
  • They made a treaty with Germany and left WWI, leaving the eastern front wide open now.
  • This will be important later on in the year during WWII

    • Made Germany accept full responsibility for the war
