Agenda for Beginning Band Meeting - June 10 & 11

• Summer band
• Try-out/fitting day - Tuesday, June 11
• Band room - use Door H3
• Signup tonight for a time
• Monday, July 8 - Thursday, July 25
• 7, ½ -hour lessons
• Lessons times depend on instrument selected, schedule give at fitting day.
• School year band
• Rehearsal - every other day during encore 1
• Two 6th grade bands - split as equal as possible
• Individual/small group lessons - once per week for 20 minutes
• Two evening concerts - Nov. 21 & May 6
• Expectations
• 1^st year goals- develop tonal concept, rhythmic skills, good playing habits, care of instrument, how to practice
• Regular attendance to class and lessons
• Attendance at concerts
• Regular individual practice – average of 15-20 minutes/day
