EARLY DISMISSAL: School will dismiss early on Friday, October 30th for a School Improvement day.
SAVE THE DATES: K, 1st, and 4th Grade Holiday concert will be Monday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m.
5th-8th grade Winter band concert will be Tuesday, December 15th at 7:00 p.m.
RED RIBBON WEEK OCT. 26th- 30th. Join us as we celebrate Red Ribbon Week with dress up days and learning the importance of making healthy choices! Dress up days will be: Monday- wear red, Tuesday- wear sports themed clothing, Wednesday- wear your pajamas, Thursday- students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students, Friday- wear orange and black.
We’re proud to announce that MGS trombone players Desmond Gibler and Sawyer Jones have been selected by audition to perform in the 2026 ILMEA District 8 Festival Band! This prestigious honor recognizes Desmond and Sawyer as two of the top student musicians in Northwest Illinois. They will travel to DeKalb in November to rehearse and perform alongside some of the area’s finest student musicians in a special festival concert.
Congratulations Desmond and Sawyer on this outstanding achievement! We’re proud of you!
PTO MEETING: There will be a PTO meeting on Monday, November 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room.
FRIENDLY REMINDER: The weather is changing. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for outside recess. We have outside recess whenever the temperature is above 10 degrees.
