We are a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.

PROJECT

P.E.O. sponsorship required for all except International Peace Scholarship and Cottey.

ELIGIBILITY BASICS

With the exception of the International Peace Scholarship and Cottey College,

all projects are open only to citizens / legal permanent residents of the U.S. and Canada.

AWARD AMOUNT

Educational Loan Fund

A revolving loan fund to lend money to women to assist them in securing a higher education.

  • Submits application within 6-24 months of graduation/program completion date.
  • Meets credit score and debt limits for chosen degree. No credit score does not disqualify a candidate.

Maximum amount from $12,000 to $25,000, dependent on degree.

International Peace Scholarship

Provides scholarships for international women to pursue graduate study in the US and Canada.

  • Must be qualified for admission to full-time graduate study, working toward a graduate degree.
  • Must have a full year of coursework remaining.

$12,500 maximum.

May reapply for one renewal.

Program for Continuing Education

Provides need-based grants to women whose education has been interrupted.

  • Enrolled in a certificate or degree program, but not a doctoral degree program.
  • Has had at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student within adult life.
  • Is within 18 months of completing the educational program.

$4,000 maximum.

Scholar Awards

Provides merit-based awards to women pursuing a doctoral level degree or who are engaged in postdoctoral research.

Must be within 2 years of graduation date and have at least 1 full academic year to complete doctoral level degree.

$25,000 maximum.

STAR Scholarship

Provides scholarships for exceptional high school senior women to attend a postsecondary educational institution.

  • Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extra-curricular activities, community service, and potential for future success.
  • Has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

$2,500 maximum.

Cottey College

Nationally-ranked liberal arts and sciences college for women in Nevada, MO, south of Kansas City.

Applicants evaluated individually on high school curriculum, GPA, and ACT or SAT scores.

Various scholarships and financial aid programs available.

Ohio Scholarships

Provides scholarships for Ohio women to pursue an undergraduate or master’s degree.

  • Must be a resident of Ohio.
  • Exhibits scholarship, initiative, financial need and leadership.

$750 minimum.

May apply annually.
