SIS and online curriculum: Integrated?

Planning for WiFi needs: (Infrastructure)

Share this with your Network Team:

    • Access points in every room with kids in it or a conference room
    • Upgraded our switches to Gigabit copper for the AP and Ten-Gig uplinks back to the core and PoE+ class, which requires more than the standard 15.40 W for the AP’s
    • Cabling used was Cat6A, as it can do 10 Gig (to be ready for the next wave of AC, which is faster than 1.3 gigabits)
    • AP’s can handle roughly 50 clients each and do almost 900 MB total
    • Cisco 3702i Lightweight access points with redundant controllers at our County Office.
    • We authenticate via 802.1X and Active Directory for the staff and clients, and have a guest user portal for guests, which puts them on a outside, DMZ network.
