項目簡介：台山話藝術科技工作坊

Promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage with Art and Technology

Hong Kong Wuyi Association adheres to the principles of "unity, cooperation, and service," and is dedicated to building an influential community organization. Currently, it boasts approximately 40,000 members and a volunteer team of a thousand people. The association actively promotes youth development, the culture of the hometowns of overseas Chinese, and the development of the Greater Bay Area. Since 2018, it has established the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cooperation Liaison Office in Hong Kong and a cross-border government service zone. Youth initiatives have achieved remarkable results, with nearly 500 events organized over the past five years, serving over ten thousand young people cumulatively. The association also collaborates with universities in the Greater Bay Area to advance scientific research and innovation projects.

香港五邑總會以「團結、合作、服務」為宗旨，致力打造具影響力的社團，現擁有約4萬名會員及千人義工團。總會積極推動青年發展、僑鄉文化及大灣區建設，於2018年起設立粵港澳大灣區聯絡處與跨境政務服務專區。

青年工作成果顯著，近五年舉辦近500場活動，累計服務上萬名青年，並與大灣區高校合作推動科研創新項目。

PolyU Design Fab Lab operates with the vision to develop a vibrant and sustainable community of makers with focus on exploring new possibilities of personal and digital fabrication for design. It is situated on the 1/F of Jockey Club Innovation Tower, with a range of digital fabrication facilities for students from different backgrounds and interests to learn, explore, prototype and share.

理大設計創演坊以培養充滿活力和可持續發展的創客社群為願景，致力於探索個人與數位化製造在設計領域的全新可能。該工坊坐落於賽馬會創新樓一層，配備一系列數位化製造設備，供不同背景和興趣的學生在此學習探索、製作原型並交流分享。

Brief description of the workshop:

This workshop aims at arousing interests of secondary school students in the local Chinese dialect (Taishanese) and associated culture of Taishan through hands-on making of an interactive device for playing back recordings of short phrases in Taishanese. Students will be working in teams to go through a workshop with 6 lessons, from an introduction of local culture of Taishan and Taishanese, to learning how to assemble and customize the interactive device which can playback recorded spoken phrases in Taishanese as collected by students. The interactive device captures different spoken phrases in Taishanese, which serves as means to preserve local intangible culture, and can be shared to other students as well as guests and community members in future.

工作坊介紹：

這個工作坊旨在培養中學生對本地中文方言（台山話）及台山文化的興趣。透過親手製作一個可播放台山短句錄音的互動裝置，學生可從中體驗台山話及其背後的文化底蘊。在這工作坊的六節課內，學生們將以小組形式參與課堂內容，從認識台山本地文化，到學習如何客製化及組裝這款互動裝置來播放他們所收集的台山短句錄音。該互動裝置不但有助保存本地非物質文化，也能在未來分享給其他學生、來賓及社區成員。

• After the completion of the work, the workshop will proceed to the technological phase. We will guide the students in uploading the 3D version to the website and conducting comprehensive online design for their physical "Cultural Treasure Box." This process is akin to creating an accurate "digital twin" for the artwork, with all details, colors, and textures being fully captured and transformed into a 3D model that can be viewed and rotated on a computer.
• 作品完成後，工作坊將進入科技環節。我們將指導學員將3D版本上傳到網站，為自己的實體「文化寶盒」進行全方位線上設計。這個過程就像為作品創造一個精確的「數字雙胞胎」，所有細節、色彩與紋理都將被完整記錄，轉換成一個可在電腦中觀看、旋轉的3D模型。

AI Music Creation

• Students will take on the role of "linguistic data scientists," using AI software tools to import Taishanese song lyrics and regenerate Taishanese music. This will be added to the recordings in the music box, as well as the background music of the online music box.
• 學員將化身「語言數據科學家」，使用AI軟件工具，導入台山歌詞文本，重新生成台山音樂。添加到音樂盒子的錄音當中， 和線上音樂盒子的配樂。

AI ART 生成藝術

• Issue "Cultural Design Commands": Learn to use keywords (prompts) to describe the patterns they wish to create, such as: "a blue modern geometric pattern that blends Taishan watchtower window lattices with wave lines" or "an auspicious red envelope design featuring characteristics of Taishan as an overseas Chinese hometown."
• The AI will generate entirely new modern patterns infused with Taishan cultural genes based on these commands. Participants will then screen, adjust, and blend these designs, ultimately creating a unique AI-generated cultural cover or decorative pattern for their own device.
• They will print their AI-generated unique patterns and affix them to the device as its core visual element.

• 下達「文化設計指令」：學習用關鍵詞（prompt）描述他們想創造的圖案，例如：「融合台山碉樓窗花與海浪線條的藍色現代幾何紋樣」或「具有台山僑鄉特色的吉祥紅包圖案」。
• AI將根據指令生成全新的、帶有台山文化基因的現代圖案。學員將通過篩選、調整和融合，最終為自己的裝置設計出獨一無二的AI生成文化封面或裝飾紋樣。
• 將他們AI生成的獨特圖案，通過打印方式，貼在裝置上，作為裝置的核心視覺元素。

• The participants' final "Sound Treasure Box" will be assigned a virtual QR code. By scanning the exclusive QR code on the physical device, users can instantly "transport" themselves to the VR virtual cultural scene most closely associated with that sound. There, they can listen to the authentic recording while looking around at the historical environment, gaining an immersive and profound understanding.

• 學員最終的「聲音寶盒」將被賦予一個虛擬二維碼。通過掃描實體裝置上專屬二維碼，可以瞬間「穿越」到與該聲音最相關的VR虛擬文化場景中，一邊聆聽真實錄音，一邊環顧四周的歷史環境，獲得身臨其境的深度理解。
