Stretch RE1 LVCO Install

Step 1

  • Remove the fasteners nearest both wheels using a 3mm hex driver.
  • If applicable, also remove the two fasteners on the curved rear surface of the base shell using a 3mm hex driver.

Step 2

  • Carefully lift the base shell upwards, making sure not to snag any cables, until the PCB on top of the robot base is visible. You may wish to use the spring-clamp that shipped with the robot underneath the base shell, to keep it from falling down while you work with the robot.

Step 3

  • Unplug the NUC power connector from the Pimu board
  • Carefully slide out the NUC power adapter from the slot between the battery and the sheet metal rib

  • Replace the NUC power adapter cable with the LVCO module

Step 5

  • Slide the NUC power adapter back into the slot between the battery and the sheet metal rib (barrel connector first)
  • Slide the LVCO into the slot next to the NUC power adapter
  • Plug the NUC power cable into the Pimu
  • Slide the base shell back into place, again being careful not to pinch any cables, and replace the base shell fasteners that you removed.
  • Power on the robot.
