Overdose Detection Mapping Application Program (ODMAP)

  • ODMAP is a tool for collecting and tracking geographic data points of suspected overdose events. ODMAP is a free Web-based, mobile-friendly software program
  • Data is displayed as an interactive map designed to assist strategic analysis and syndromic surveillance by identifying spikes of activity and displaying clusters of events
  • ODMAP links first responders and relevant record management systems to a mapping tool that tracks overdoses to stimulate real-time response
  • Outreach is being done to increase registration and participation in uploading historic data to assist in providing realistic statistics for our state
  • Entry of data is designed to take less than 30 seconds and only requires 4 fields, ODMAP only collects Controlled Unclassified Information and only releases it to authorized personnel related to public safety and public health functions
