Adding Drawing Elements

Add drawing elements to your slide deck using the drawing toolbars. You can also add images from your drive, computer, take a snapshot with your webcam, or search for new images online.

Click the tool you want on the toolbar. Remember there are more options for each tool if you click the down arrow next to the tool

Modifying Images

Once you’ve added an image you can then modify it

  • Use the blue squares around an image - click and drag them to change the size and shape of it.
  • Double click an image to get the cropping menu drag corners or sides in to crop out parts of an image.
  • Select an image and then click the drop down arrow next to the cropping button to select a shape to crop the image into

Embedding Video

You can embed YouTube and videos you have stored in Google Drive.

Just hit insert > Video and select the video you want. You can then access the video controls by clicking on the video options button

Using Explore - Search

Explore can be used as a search engine right inside your slide deck. Just type the content you’re looking for into the search box. You can add an image just by clicking on the plus symbol at the top right of each image. When an image is added it includes a reference link back to the site it originated from. All images a labeled for reuse.

Using Explore - Suggested Layouts

You can add elements to a slide and then click the explore button to get suggestions for how you might change the look of the slide.

Creating Links

You can create links with text, images and drawing objects. You can link to another slide or a site.

Just click on the object you want to link then press the link button. Type in where you want it to link to and click apply.

Changing a Theme

You can change the theme of the entire slide deck by selecting a slide and clicking the theme button at the top of the screen. A selection of themes will appear on the right hand side of your slide deck, click on one to change to that theme.

Using Slide Master

To edit the slide master go to view > master.

You can then change the standard layout slides or create one of your own.
