Accessing My Portal:
Having trouble accessing MyPortal?

Accessing Apps in My Portal:
On a school Chromebook, My Portal should open when students log in.
On other devices, students should log into MyPortal by typing in the address bar:
myportal.wvusd.org
Some useful apps on the Student My Portal homepage:
Google Classroom: Logging In
Step 1: Students should log into MyPortal
Step 2: Click on the Google Classroom app
Google Classroom: Tabs
Next, click on your current class (some students may have multiple classes).
Stream: Click on the Stream tab at the top to view any communication with the teacher and/or class.
Classwork: Click on the Classwork tab at the top to view any classroom resources and assignments.

Materials and Assignments
Materials can be downloaded and printed or viewed to help with assignments/activities.
Assignments that need to be completed, uploaded, or turned in have a spot (in the Subject/Topic). Look for the correct spot.

Creating Assignments
Step 1: Click on View Assignment
Step 2: Click +Add or create
Step 3: From the drop down menu under “Create new”, select the item you would like to create (e.g. Doc, Slides, etc.)

**When finished working on an assignment, go back to the assignment page where you clicked +Add or create. The item you created will appear where it says Your Work (or above the +Add or create button). Select the green Turn In button.
*This is the recommended method - student work will be automatically attached to the assignment.
Google Classroom:
Adding Files
Step 1: Click on View Assignment
Step 2: Click +Add or create
Step 3: From the drop down menu, select Google Drive
Step 4: Select a file from My Drive and click the blue button Add

*When finished adding an assignment from Google Drive, it will take you back to the assignment page where you clicked +Add or create and you will select the green Turn In button.

Google Classroom:
Upload a Photo to Google Classroom
When students turn in work on Google Classroom, they will sometimes have the option to turn in a photo of work they did on paper. Watch this video to learn how to upload a photo to Google Classroom.
Upload a Photo to Google Classroom with Google Drive App on Smartphone
Step 1: Download the Google Drive app
Step 2: Sign into your Account (Username: lunch#@stu.wvusd.org)
Step 3: Open the app and select the rainbow + button (bottom right corner)
Step 4: Select Upload
Step 5: Select Photos and Videos to choose a photo from your phone’s library. Select the photo and click UPLOAD in top right corner. The photo will now appear in your Google Drive and can be added to a Google Classroom assignment (see Slide 9: Adding Files).

Step 1: Click on My Library
Step 2: You can click on Mega Math to access games for practice. You can also click on Student Activity Book, G3 or Homework and Remembering, G3 if you’d like to view these

Step 1: Click on Things to Do
Step 2: Click on the assignment name (in blue) and you will be redirected to complete the assignment.
*This is where any Personal Math Trainer assignments will be listed.
*You can click on My Scores to see scores for completed assignments.
