🦁 Nothing is known about his past except he used to be a spy recruiter and that he attempted to summon a devil, in which he succeeded

🦁 Now lives in their cult HQ, occasionally undertaking missions from their patron deity. He’s a literal devil’s advocate/HR guy

🦌 The only surviving child of a newspaper company owner. Thirty years ago went to the neighboring city to be a rail worker after his family’s company went bankrupt

🦌 Now busy juggling multiple roles: a member of saboteur crew, a clerk as dayjob, and as a cult’s assassin

  • Rook met Ezra (then Leonard) while serving his time in jail, in which the latter showed Rook some ropes regarding arcane matters
  • They parted ways after commiting a crime, much to Rook’s dismay, but reunited decades later on opposing sides
  • Both have experienced each other’s worst sides
  • After his own death and subsequent resurrection, Rook secretly joined Ezra’s cult
  • Now they're both field agents of the same faction and are trying to learn how to collaborate
