What is an FSA ID?

Your FSA ID is your username and password that allows you to access and electronically sign your FAFSA

The FSA ID is tied to your Social Security Number, so it can take a few days to be verified

Anyone contributing information to your FAFSA form will need an FSA ID. This includes you, and likely your parent(s)/guardian(s)

Why should I attend?

  • Creating an FSA ID is the first step in completing the FAFSA process
  • Students will not be able to complete their FAFSA until they, and any guardians providing FAFSA information have created their FSA ID
  • Get support in taking the first steps in completing your FAFSA
  • Even if you aren’t sure of your plans for next year, this will be easier to complete now!
