1. Hardened clay is both sculptural and functional
2. Have a big idea, wet the clay, etc.
3. The clay will get harder and unbreakable
4. They write how their artwork developed on a document so that everyone else can see. Sometimes they take pictures too.

Theme and big idea

1. Theme- to connect people by playing tennis
2. Big idea- playing tennis with people can build a new relationship. It is my goal to make new friends.

The process of planning

The symbols are related to tennis.

They each represents gut, ball, and running around. They are all required in order to stay healthy by playing tennis.

Function & where will it be displayed?

Function- It works as a pencil stand.

Where will it be displayed?- It can be displayed on a desk.

The process of making the sculpture

1. Make the base
2. Make walls and stick them around the base
3. The top shouldn’t be flat➜make it interesting

I found this picture on internet and tried to make it look like this. I thought the shape was interesting and easy to make.

Where did you get the ideas?

I got this idea from my 3D graphic portfolio project.

The topic is tennis and I tried to make a new theme that has something to do with playing tennis.

What was good?

Making a shape with clay was fun and interesting. Painting also made me excited because I could use so many colors.

How could I improve?

• I could paint in different colors
• I should’ve planned about how to paint

conclusion

1. Now I know making coil pottery is a fun project. The reason is that I can make what I’m imagining into a shape.
2. I tried to create a positive learning environment by being quiet and sharing the supplies.
3. First, I sponge the desk and dry it. Then I put the chairs on the desk. If something is on the floor, we pick it up and throw it away.
