P. Passionate about being a nurse. Serves as a role model for the nursing profession—a cheerleader for the profession.
E. Education of the patient and family is a priority. Willingly educates/ supports fellow staff regardless of the title or position.
T. Trustworthy and Thoughtful in all situations. They do not participate in gossip or tearing down of other coworkers. Known as someone “who has my back” and keeps confidences.
A. Above and beyond. Does not accept mediocre. Does not engage in a ‘that’s not my job’ attitude.
L. Leader for patient care within their unit or department. Willingly accepts collateral assignments (e.g. Chart reviews, quality monitoring, and preceptor) from leaders. Participates in community activities that represent the hospital.
S. Selflessness. Thinks of others before themselves. Offers to be flexible with scheduling when called upon to meet unit needs or help their coworker.
