From 2023 to 2030, developing Asia requires $13.8 trillion, or $1.7 trillion annually, in infrastructure to sustain economic growth, reduce poverty, and address climate change. ASEAN economies need to invest at least $2.8 trillion, or $184 billion annually, within the same period.

Financing Project

  • Development, construction, and operation of a PET recycling plant with an annual output capacity of 36,000 tons
  • $25 million/year worth of rPET flakes and pellets exported to Europe and Asia
  • 9,000 tCO2/year of GHG reduction will be due to the project annually.

  • The project involves the:
  • augmentation and addition of power distribution transformers, substations, along with associated low voltage network, extension of feeders, new switching stations;
  • replacement of obsolete distribution equipment and facilities;
  • installation of smart meters;
  • upgrade of miscellaneous in-house infrastructure; and
  • purchase of 10 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
  • 172 GWh/year of renewable energy saved
  • 143,192 tCO2/year of GHG reduction will be due to the project annually.

  • Upgrading of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal (JNPCT), including :
  • expansion of the terminal’s 680-meter container berths;
  • increase in Rail Mounted Quay Crane rail span from 20 meters to 30.5 meters;
  • purchase of the latest equipment, consisting of quay cranes and yard equipment; and
  • efficient operation and maintenance of the JNPCT.
  • 1.4 million TEUs increased in annual volume of containerized cargo
  • At least 4,977 tCO2 /year GHG emissions avoided
