Understanding the economic welfare of citizens and the government's role in ensuring social protection and improved living standards.
The Essence of Population Incomes
Population income is one of the most important indicators characterizing the welfare of the population. In market economy conditions, population income depends on the quantity and quality of labor contributed by each member of society to social production. The amount of income received by members of society is determined by the quantity and quality of labor they expend in various sectors of the national economy.
In the process of economic reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, along with the formation and development of market relations, the population's living standards and the system of forming population incomes have undergone significant changes. The forms and sources of population incomes have become diverse.

Property Income

Wages: The Foundation of Income
Wages constitute the main part of the population's income. Wages is the price of labor force, i.e., the monetary amount paid to the worker for the labor expended. The wage fund is formed from the incomes of enterprises and organizations, and a portion of it is allocated for wages.
The amount of wages is determined by the amount of labor contributed by the worker to social production. Therefore, wages reflect the quantity and quality of labor.
Key Functions
Nominal Wages
Monetary amount received by the worker for his labor
Real Wages
Amount of goods and services that can be purchased for the nominal wage amount
The ratio between nominal and real wages is expressed through the formula:
where: R N - real wages; N - nominal wages; N - price index for consumer goods and paid services.

It serves as the basis for determining wage rates, salaries, and various allowances, and is reviewed and increased periodically based on the country's economic development.
Other Income Sources
Business Income
Income received from entrepreneurial activity, including profit from production activity, income from trading and intermediary operations, and income from other types of entrepreneurial activity. Business income depends on the results of entrepreneurial activity, the efficiency of using labor, material, and financial resources.
