⚙️PHRASAL VERBS

Phrasal verbs are verbs made of two or more words. Their meaning is often very different from the two separate words.

Phrasal verbs contain one verb and one or two particles:

<<The plane took off at 6:30>>

<<I’m looking forward to the party>>

These verbs are often separable to include an object between them:

<<He looked up the word = He looked the word up>>

There are also phrasal verbs that are inseparable, in which case the object goes at the end:

<<We looked after the baby>>

Separable vs Inseparable
