WHY ROOTS OF RESILIENCE?

  • The 2021 documentary Once You Know charted out how we can best live with the environmental breakdown while attempting to mitigate its worst effects.
  • To follow its release and amplify its message, the not-for-profit Terractiva carried out a campaign called ‘Roots of Resilience’, an international action-oriented web portal listing initiatives related to energy, climate, systemic risks, and resilience. It hosts different "Action Trees" which offer a holistic vision of change. Here is the international action-tree.
  • Each tree brings together hundreds of initiatives and active organizations to help everyone take action, showing the interdependence, diversity, and progressive nature of opportunities. The goal of this online collaborative database is to become increasingly localized thanks to place-specific resources to create a forest of possibilities for all those wishing to live within planetary limits – wherever they may live.
