Roadmap slide-

Immersion workshops planned for 2018, 2019Looking at on-demand 3D printing

3D printing not reaching potential.Microfactory level 1 should push this forward.

Do incentive competitions.

80% of consumer household goods can be produced by individuals around the world. Open-source distributive production will reduce income of giant corporations.

Train a dozen to a hundred people to build, operate, and repair the machines in Open-source microfactory in Africa. Solves replaceability of parts issues. Need longevity data on machines.

Abe- FreeCAD legacy, seems slower.

Looking at strength and size of power cube.

¼” steel. Discussion rubber washer (washer for bolts).Photogrammatry, take pics all sides, pass pics, process for 3D scan.

Really want to master/so can do full 3D model based on scan.

Engine and pump need to be able to be snapped in and out/most likely parts to fail. Looking at 5-10 minute changeover.

loops>airlocks, so use elbows or move plumbing.

Ruslan-

Continuing to migrate OSE workbench.

P size/used by Flamingo. All parts can be creating using Flamingo/can change dimensions.

Inconsistency from table to table in how dimensions are labeled. What are the standards?

To be consistent in workbench must find actual standards documents. Are they uniform? Et c.

Use software to differentiate between plumbing based on size and shape/which go together.

Discussion flexibility of Flamingo, workbench.

Ruslan on Construction Set Construction Set workbench.

Model of OSE campus/parcel of land can supply pretty much anything. Use on site resources as much as possible.

ODU, open source enterprise planning software.

How much capacity that we would need is in ODU?

How to inventory?Automated weighing system.

Can produce screws on demand in microfactory.

No advantage that a large factory has for screw machines.

OSE has sufficiency criterion.

Induction furnace is part of microfactory.

Full recursion/go from common feedstocks to finished product.

Ruslan

  • OSE-Piping workbench migration to consistent data almost finished.
    • I need some specifications catalogues with dimensional drawings.
    • Sequence of pipes for tee.

Ruslan - can you upload the DXF source files to your log as well?

  • Janus WebRTC Gateway POC

  • Blocked on s3 backups pending wiki migration
  • Blocked on wiki migration by validation & test plan finalization

How is the wiki being migrated? Versions update? See Mediawiki

And how and when will it affect use? Any future usage changes?

~24 hour downtime. We’ll give several days notice before-hand. Ephemeral staging site is https://wiki.opensourceecology.org
