  • There is NOT a Foreign Language Requirement to graduate from District 207
  • The official requirement is 2 years of Fine Arts, Applied Arts OR Foreign Language that is needed to graduate
  • If a student takes the 2 years of Foreign Language at Emerson (successfully), the student can take the 2nd year of Foreign Language as a freshman and it would go towards the 2 years of Foreign Language required by a number of colleges.
  • Taking Foreign Language at Emerson does NOT count for an academic unit of credit at Maine South (where you need 23 and 1/2 credits to graduate)

Social Work / Counseling

  • Individual and group services support students’ social-emotional needs and skill development
  • Students can access as-needed support by emailing their grade-level counselor, or by completing the appointment request form on the EMS counseling website
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to design and implement interventions for students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, allowing these students to be available to learn and succeed
  • Connect families with mental health resources in the community
