Listen to the story “Please Please the Bees”. Talk with a grown up.

What is your role in your family or community? What do you do to help? What makes a strong community?

Optional: create a list of responsibilities for yourself; create a list of responsibilities each member of your family has; create a list of responsibilities and why your family needs them.

Thinking about it:

Grade 1: What might be some new responsibilities you have as you

get older?

Grade 2: What are some responsibilities other children have that you do not? (eg. children who have a dog may be responsible to feed it)

Grade 3: What are some responsibilities a grown up in your life had at your age? Are they the same or different from yours?
