Session 5: Whole School within a Community Development

In this session, participants plan to link your study of the ‘Earth Systems’ to your ‘Whole School Development’ practices. They design a project with learners whereby they create an ecosystem within a bottle (Bottle Terrarium).

By the end of this unit, participants will be able to:

• Plan a Change Project related to the positively contributing to the systems on

Earth.

​

• Identify key stakeholders for implementation of a change projects at school.

​

• Describe relevant activities for the planning of change projects at a public school.

​

• Develop projects related to the study of Earth Systems and the care for the school environment.
