EASEMENTS & RIGHTS-OF-WAY
Most properties are governed by established setbacks, utility easements, and rights-of-way (ROWs). Providers regulated under the Public Utility Commission of WA are permitted to construct and maintain infrastructure within these areas.
Accordingly, Ezee Fiber is authorized to access these ROWs and easements to install and maintain broadband infrastructure for your community.
What Are Easements?
Designated areas on your property (typically 14 ft wide) where utility providers are permitted to install and maintain infrastructure.
Rights-of-Way (ROW)
Typically 50-60 feet across, centered on the road — extending 25-30 feet from center on either side.
Your Property Records
Easement locations are documented on your property plat and deed. Review these for specifics.
Utility Locates
Important Step
The last step in our pre-construction process is utility locating. Once we have met all necessary criteria, we will contact the local locating company and provide the with our scope of work. Once they have this in hand, they will send a representative to locate all locatable utilities within our build area.
At this time, we are also contacting the water providers to gain information on the existing water infrastructure as these will not often be marked during the locate placement.

FINALIZATION & RESTORATION
Once construction and fiber testing are complete, restoration work begins. All affected areas, including landscaping, sidewalks, and pavement, are returned to equal or better condition.
Final inspections are conducted, and any remaining restoration items are addressed. Our goal is to complete construction with minimal lasting impact and leave the community looking in prior condition or better than before work began.
