Tujuan Pembelajaran

Dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery and contextual learning, melalui metode tanya jawab & diskusi, peserta didik diharapkan dapat:

- Mengidentifikasi konteks, gagasan utama, dan informasi terperinci dari teks deskripsi lisan yang disajikan dalam bentuk multimoda dengan topik atlet berprestasi.

- Memproduksi teks deskriptif lisan dan teks deskriptif tulis multimoda tentang great athletes sesuai dengan konteks dan tujuan yang hendak dicapai

- Mendemonstrasikan komunikasi efektif dalam

penyampaian gagasan dan pendapat secara sederhana tentang atlet berprestasi.

DEFINITION OF DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

Descriptive text is a text that describes a particular object, e.q. person, animal, place or thing.

SOCIAL FUNCTION

to inform the reader, listener, or viewer about a particular object, e.q. person, animal, thing or place

GENERIC STRUCTURE

  • Identification

Contains general explanation of the thing which is going to be described.

  • Description

Contains the special characteristics or detailed information about the object being described. It can be the physical appearance, behavior, skill, atmosphere, or other specific characteristics.

LANGUAGE FEATURES

  • Using Simple Present Tense or Simple Past Tense

  • Using a lot of adjectives to describe the object.

Eg : beautiful girl, strong legs, etc.

  • Using linking verbs, such as be (is, am, are), appear, feel, grow, sound, etc.

E.g : Messi feels excited; Voice of the supporters sound great;

He is popular.

  • Produce or make a descriptive text from the information above.
  • Present or demonstrate the text orally in the class.
