Procedure

1.Place letter tiles for a word, spaced apart, on the top line.

2.Say the sounds in the word slowly, stretching them out as you tap each letter. Ask students to repeat.

3.Slide the letters down to the arrow line, one at a time, as you say each sound. Position the letters close to each other.

4.Say the whole word as you slide your finger underneath.

5.Repeat, asking students to do it with you, then on their own.
