UBLive: Residential Week @ UMaine

  • Open to all students participating in Aspirations, UB, or UB Lite
  • Attendance is optional
  • Your regular summer stipends are NOT attached to UBLive attendance
  • You may select your roommate for the week or UB will match you
  • Vaccination is not mandatory but strongly encouraged-subject to change per UMaine Policy
  • UBLive week is a closed campus-no leave exceptions

Upward Bound Summer

Book Club

In honor of the late Congressman John Lewis and the importance of engaging in good trouble, the Council for Opportunity (COE) is launching the Good Trouble Book Club: Engaging Youth in a National Conversation about the Future of America.

  • Optional Summer Program Option with Upward Bound.
  • June 22nd through July 22nd
  • 2 Meetings a week: Tuesday and Thursday @ 1:30pm to 2:30pm
  • Guest Speakers through COE
  • Will fulfill UB’s Summer Community Service Requirement and you will be given a chance to earn extra Community Service Hours.
  • A Chance to present our Civic Engagement Project to a national Committee

Join Amy for these 10 meetings during the Summer Program as we discuss the Graphic Novels: MARCH and come up with a Service Project.
