This video has students create an Emil Nolde inspired Watercolor Flower Painting. Kim, the host, explains that Emil Nolde is known for blurry, brightly colored floral paintings from over 100 years ago. Kim, along with her daughter demonstrates wetting the paper, painting flowers with vibrant colors, and creating a background. This project uses a lot of water to get the blurry effect needed. It is suggested to add more vibrancy to the flowers once the background dries as a possible extension to the lesson.
