The student learning experience at ISHCMC is enriched with a range of technologies and internet connected applications. ISHCMC students are proud and responsible digital citizens and access technology with clear behaviour expectations.

The internet is an amazing resource for everyone to feel welcome and safe. When I communicate on the internet, I use inclusive language. When I want to challenge ideas, I always do so in a manner of positive inquiry.

I keep my accounts safe and do not share my passwords. I sign out of applications on shared devices after I have finished using them.

I know that what I put online is almost impossible to remove and leaves a digital footprint. I check with an adult before I publish.

I respect my personal information and keep it safe and do the same for others.

I respect and acknowledge ownership of the amazing creative content that people share on the internet.

I never share my personal details or images online without checking with an adult first.

I avoid inappropriate content on the internet.

When I see inappropriate content or something that doesn’t seem right, I talk to a trusted adult.

If someone contacts me that I do not know I ask a teacher or parent for advice before I respond.

I use my device without interrupting the learning of others.

Respect for the environment

I take good care of the devices I use for learning as I know it is a privilege to access these.

I carry my device with care and leave it in safe spaces when not in use. I do not run with it or use it while walking around.

When I notice damage to a device, I tell my teacher as soon as possible.

I check with my teacher and ask permission before I install or delete software or browser extensions.

I respect that the device is to be used for education purposes and not for personal entertainment.

I back up my personal files to google drive.

I will store my devicve in a safe and secure manner when not in use
