We Support
17 School PTA Units in Alexandria
We have 14 board members to help improve collaboration across our school division
And every PTA president (or authorized rep) is a voting member of PTAC and attends monthly meetings

What We Do to Support Units
Assist school PTA leaders with issues like bylaws revisions, budget and finance questions, and membership reporting
Share best practices to support inclusion & equitable family engagement
Encourage units to appoint DEI and Special Education chairs at every school
Plan seminar partnerships with ACPS
Build Unit Leadership
Conduct trainings – Comms, Leadership
Provide grants through the Equity Fund

What We Do In Our Community
Advocacy: Work with PTA units to developbudget & policy priorities based on issues that impact the majority of our schools; work with ACPS Central Office and the larger community to promote best practices in DEI; Elevate the needs and priorities of our Special Education families; Participate in Virginia PTA Capitol Hill Day in Richmond and the National PTA Hill Day in Washington, DC

Fundraise to support: Reflections Awards; Scholarship Fund of Alexandria; PTAC Equity Fund – Unit Support, Teacher Appreciation, Membership Dues; All Night Grad Party
