write each part of
your story. You don’t
need the details yet, you
just need to know the
general outline.
Story Writing Challenge:
This week we are joining with The Children’s Bookshow to create our own wonderful stories. We will be getting inspired, planning and writing our own stories about adventures on the Island featured in Benji Davies’ book The Storm Whale.
Your task today is to listen to the story in the clip on this page and to plan out your own story about the island that Noi can tell to the Whale. Will it include treasure, a mysterious visitor, a journey or maybe another animal on the island?
Once you have listened to the story, see if you can make a story map for your own tale of the island like the one Benji made when he was writing The Storm Whale. Make sure you know what is happening at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of your story.
Mr Spracklen would love to see your finished work. Feel free to email him a photo or copy of your work to - headteacher@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk
