  • Books will be sorted, barcoded, and packed into grade level bins in December and January by Instruction Department

staff

* See notes below for specific school needs

Important Notes:

  • Teachers are responsible for these books like they are for FOSS Science kits. Titles should be accounted for annually.

  • These books belong to the district and if a teacher moves grade levels, schools, or leaves the district, they will be responsible for returning each book/bin.

  • Each bin has an inventory list. Teachers/staff should check to be sure all books are accounted for. Let Katie Stiles know if there is a book missing prior to January 14. (English titles only)

Principal To Do:

  1. Communicate delivery process and location to office and custodial staff

  • Near delivery time, plan to have a knowledgeable person nearby for questions (See spreadsheet for delivery times)

  • Share these slides and expectations with teachers at your next staff meeting and prior to delivery date

  • Teachers MUST pick up bins on day of delivery.

Office staff/principal should have a plan for staff who

are absent on delivery day

  • Store inventory sheets so books can be accounted

for if a teacher moves grades or schools

“Reading brings knowledge and knowledge is power; therefore reading is power. The power to know and learn and understand…

but also the power to dream. Stories inspire us to reach high,

love deep, change the world and be more than we ever thought we could. Every book allows us to dream a new dream.”
