IS THERE
LIFE AFTER DEATH?
Is it reasonable
to be afraid of death?
Will I ever see him again?
"If a man die,
shall he live again?”
Job 14:14
THE PROCESS
OF LIFE AND DEATH
To understand the process of death, we must first consider how life began.
How did it begin?
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
Genesis 2:7

Since the process of dying is the opposite of living,
what happens when somebody dies?
"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."
Ecclesiastes 12:7

DEATH
IS DEATH A CONSCIOUS STATE?
Do the dead know anything?
" For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten."
Ecclesiastes 9:5
What happens to their feelings?
Ecclesiastes 9:6, 10
"Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun."
"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
Are the dead in a conscious state?
"His breath goeth forth,
he returneth to his earth;
in that very day
his thoughts perish."
Psalms 146:4
Do the dead know anything about their relatives?
"His sons come to honour,
and he knoweth it not;
and they are brought low,
but he perceiveth it not of them."
Job 14:21
Are they in heaven
worshiping God?
"The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence."
Psalms 115:17
WHAT IS DEATH COMPARED TO?
What did Jesus
compare death to?
John 11:11-14
"These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.”
Job 14:10-12
"But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.”
What other example do the Scriptures give?
"Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not."
Job 14:1-2
WILL WE SEE AGAIN THOSE WHO HAVE DIED?
What is the glorious hope of a person who died believing in God?
"Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.”
Isaiah 26:19
"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1 Thessalonians 4: 14-17
1 Thessalonians 4: 14-17
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4: 14-17
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Thessalonians 4: 14-17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
Are the faithful of old who have died already enjoying eternal life?
Hebreos 11:39-40
"And these all,
having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect."
But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Daniel 12:13
THE GREATEST, OLDEST LIE THAT HAS DECEIVED MILLIONS
God told Adam and Eve that if they did not obey they would die. But,
What was
Satan‘s biggest lie?
"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.”
Genesis 3:4
Who alone possesses immortality?
1 Timothy 6:15, 16
"Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.”
Do we already have immortality,
or do we seek it?
Romans 2:7
“To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life.”
There are two ways to die: in sin or in Christ (eternal life).
John 11:25
“He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live”
CONCLUSION
What will Jesus finally do with death?
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Revelation 21:4
Our lives hang from a thread!
Thank you,
Lord, for having
conquered Death!
The next topic: "Divine advices against mysterious forces”
There are many mysterious things in the world that fill us with curiosity: Some say they talk to the dead. There are forces that can do well or bad, they have thrown entire families to misery and death. How can we defend ourselves from that?
We will see the Bible advice about this and we will know the collection of the devil.
GOD BLESS YOU!
